Decorated singer / songwriter, recording artist and entertainer Chris Janson has long been an active supporter of our military, from taking the stage alongside the United States Air Force Band last year to performing at the Grand Ole Opry’s “America Salutes You” benefit concert in May. When Janson released his single “Bye Mom”(listen HERE), he knew that its message of unconditional love would resonate with listeners across the country – especially those who have experienced loss or hardship. With that message in mind, Janson has teamed up with Bass Pro Shops to commemorate Military Family Appreciation Month and Veteran’s Day. Now through November 13, Bass Pro Shops is hosting an in-store “round-up at the register” campaign to help fund at least 20 life-changing scholarships (a minimum of $100,000) for the spouses and children of fallen and disabled service members via national nonprofit organization Folds of Honor.

“I’m so grateful to my friends at Bass Pro Shops for doing the round-up at the register this week through Folds of Honor,” Janson said. “I couldn’t be more humbled that ‘Bye Mom’ inspired such a great opportunity. This week you can round up every purchase at Bass Pro Shops, and the proceeds will go to our great servicemen and women and their families. Thank you to our veterans this Thursday and always.”

Janson will wrap the year continuing to spread unconditional love and holiday cheer. On December 11 he will serve as the grand marshal at the local Leiper’s Fork Christmas Day parade. The avid outdoorsman, who previously joined the parade in 2019, will once again team up with Bass Pro Shops and the Franklin High School fishing team to pass out rods and reels to children along the route.

Meanwhile, the celebrated recording artist’s single “Bye Mom” is climbing the charts at country radio. MusicRow has praised the song as “achingly lovely” and described it as “tapping into a universal truth.” What began as a tribute to his friend and co-writer’s mom, who passed late last year, has turned into a “masterfully written story song” (Taste of Country) about loving someone more than yourself.

Janson joined Warner Music Nashville in 2015 as his now 3x Platinum, chart-topping smash “Buy Me A Boat” became a viral and now perennial sensation. Over the past six years he has earned three additional Gold-certified No.1 hits while also garnering upwards of seven billion airplay impressions, clocking more than 1.5 billion on-demand career streams and earning his membership into the esteemed Grand Ole Opry. He recently performed at the Opry’s 5,000th show celebration, earning coverage in The New York Times, Forbes, The Tennessean and more.

Janson will continue traveling the nation for headlining dates and special events through the end of the year, with more to be announced soon. For tickets and information, visit https://www.chrisjanson.com/tour.
